scene-England 100 ad Cynara prays to her Gods before leading her men into battle against the Roman Legion.It is dark,before dawn.She is alone. I praise all true Gods! Gods of yesterday,today and tomorrow. Gods of the valley and of the mountain, Gods of the water ,air,and earth. I am your daughter Cynara, I call you!I need you! I am here to be heard, Draw near and heed me. I will bring you a bridle ox with a scarlet band. I will bring warm wine to the cold halls of the dead. I will bring you a sword of bronze ,flashing bright I will bring you the death rattle of the unbelivers. Give me the gift of hate and the joy of vengence. Give me your shild for my protection. Give me the strength of Loaghaire,the battle winner. Protect me from Oisin,and the false Roman Gods . Give me the cunning of the hounds, Give me the ears of the owl and the eyes of the eagle I will sacrifice captives before your alters. There broken weapons shall hang in your sacred groves. I turn to the east and beseech the Sun God, Conqueror of the baleful star. I turn to the left and greet the Moon Goddess, Night candle of the seekers. I am your daughter Cynara! Mother of spirits yet unborn. Servant of the true Gods, Past all measure of time. Give me victory. Place a royal crown upon my head. Sceptre and orb in my two hands. Give me victory.
