Wont you follow me Down here next to me darkness clutches thee Down here in the dark where the pain is real Where hearts do naught but blink and fade Where all the good intentions become jade Sitting here on a road hard paved Here the devils pipes are calling my names Yet all i do is sit and watch the parade And a hundred camels sliping through one eye A baker, a butcher, a soldier, a priest All walking in line, more meat for the beast Should i walk with the souls of woe Their faces are down and they've so far to go Or should i stay still and picnic here As i have have done for so many a year Merely watch the cues building up at the door take a seat here and relax I doubt theres one more So I will sit here a little longer, i think Feeling that heat from afar Cooking my sausages on the fires that are bursting from the floor To take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain Love is like a cloud, holds a lot of rain [This message has been edited by Walter Poe (01-31-2007 08:09 AM).] |
