A torch I carry everyday, Endless heated feelings displayed. A fire scorching hot to the touch, Flames so high touching the heavens, they must. Knocking on a gated door, hear my roar, Love and devotion I cry more. My voice isn't heard, there is no reply, I continue without compromise- Morals and values I have set, Being true to ones self is best. Feel the warmth of passion as I pass you by, A crusade that burns deep inside. Heaven, open the gate to me, My torch weighs heavy with good deeds. Asking not what I will receive, Only to request some life repreive. Standing alone I feel at times, Not to give in to evil ties. My torch will burn until I die. by jd anderson |
