Confessions "I'll be there for you On each step of the way, I'll be strong for you If you stay strong for me, You mean the world to me"... You've broken the promise, And I... I forgive you. But only I'd never tell, So badly convincing myself That I don't. You've buried the world You created for me Next to my hope. You've almost killed My loving soul. Almost... Though you tried your best You can't have injured me deeper; You've left me a beautiful mess. A heart, never whole, Tears, alcohol, Love songs, All without an end. I still try to pretend I'm all right; After one more sleepless night Comes a new day. New roads, new eyes, Keys to new lives, All ending up with new lies - You're still recalled in my heart. I try to find...You... In a look of each stranger, In every song... You're only in other's hearts... And in mine... But you don't even remember me... Who am I? Not a missed memory, Not a foe, not a friend. Now I'm nothing to you. Why? I don't understand... |
