Not in a long time
hunnie

It's been awhile since I let my teardrops fall,
but my tears don't know my heart at all,
I tried so hard to keep them locked away,
but it wasn't that hard until today,

I never wished for you to make me sad,
but you did, I cracked and it made me mad,
you drew me in, made me cry,
a fugitive tear escaped my eye,

It felt hot underneath my lids,
will I break or not? start the bids,
then they flew out and fell to the ground,
it killed me to know I had lost this round,

Mom, now I know, I feel your pain,
you have a sobering effect to make me sane,
'cause sharing our tears was not done in awhile,
we are family again, it made me smile,

It has never happened this rough before,
there was this sharp pain I couldn't ignore,
shedding my tears made me realize I have not done this,
not in a long time.

(Don't know how I missed this!)

I loved the way the whole thing flowed.
(I can't seem to make anything flow at the moment)

I really think you have that special talent with words that most of us lack.

always something worth saying
may i suggest you try a different structure to your rhyme( spelling-i am dxlectic and spelling evades me)

I really enjoy that you are able to put your deepest feelings in words. Many of your poems are so close to my reality as well. Thank you for sharing
