Time freezes for a moment, As I catch sight of your face. Hemmingway wrote of the world in spin, But that never happened for me. Instead I am in a state of perpetuity, A never-ending dream state fantasy. At the loss of all my schemes, I scream, And the sight of you catches my fancy. You end the constant in my equation. As I hear your steps, the world quakes. You are the softness to my abrasion, And yet, a potential victim of my mistakes. How can I talk to you when I have nothing to say? How can I explain to you how I cry every day? How can you understand my state of mind? What heart do I have to give, how could you reply? |
