Dragging down a desperate trail, Lost hope - Leak unrepaired. Continue on for want of breath. Stay the same, Empty... but for a rock shell of self. Eyelids weigh heaviest - in the tired hours; Nothing's wrong, Or too numb to know... You know? Never the same, You or it - whatever 'it' is. Maybe 'it' is tired, I am. Hope all around and yet no care to reach no hope to touch - Been burnt and bled too much too dry. The rock is strong and sturdy, almost unbreakable. Unbroken - that's me. But dead and empty, all the same. - ©2003 Jeremy Redinger. |

Nothing's wrong, Or too numb to know... You know? I definately know. nicely said, even though you sound confused. That adds to the poem. I'm adding this because I have been feeling it so much lately. Something inside me is tired and is not getting any rest. thought provoking. ~Lex |
