Don't you hear her wailing in this godless place?
Don't you see her silhouette against the moonlit sky?/
Don't you see her white dress stirring from the wind?
I want to know why she is weeping in between her ghastly sighs?

With marble and stone lying all around
You wonder why she is here
You must be a spirit that is earth bound
My feelings well up inside me, I feel fear.

Why does she weep so?
Maybe from a love tragically lost
Maybe of her children she would never know
Maybe she thinks of what she had to pay was a huge price.

She weeps maybe because she is reaching out
And she thinks no one cares because no one is there
She's probably confused, doesn't understand what this is all about
She weeps so hard it is obvious she really cared.

Wish I could release her from her earth bound ties
Because she seems to be suffering from pain and misery
I bet she has a thousand whys
As if she were saying Someone hear my plea.
