Too many times have I been forsaken
And pulled down into despair
Where were you when the world started to crumble
Because when I turned around you weren’t there

So many lies I’ve believed in ignorance
Pretending that my life isn’t a Hell
And even though you play along with my façade
I know that everyone can tell

I have suffered too many scars
From hatred and from pain
Misery controls everything
All happiness already slain

You know you were supposed to save me
My fire was your to tend
I thought that you loved me
That I’d found one true friend

But now my world
Is crashing down
I can hear you laughing
Such a pinnacle sound

Where did you wander away
To spread that first lie
Why didn’t I notice
And why are you letting me die
