Standing on the dance floor
With a bottle of vodka in her hand
She’s one of a hundred people dancing
To some 90’s has been band

It’s impossible for her too feel alive
When she’s has fallen from grace
If she pop’s another pill
She’ll be off her face

If she admits defeat
She will only end up here
Broken and alone
Controlled by her fear
She thought she was over you
But maybe she’s not
Because now she’s let go of you
Lonely’s all she’s got

What happened to their story?
Did it break when it got frail?
It wasn’t meant to get this lonely
Because they were never meant to fail

So she pop’s another pill
Escapes it all for a while
Maybe if she passes out
She will forget his smile

She’s never had the courage
Or the trust to take her life
But tonight she’ll attempt it
As she reaches for the knife...
