Hello mankind you might know me well.
You're my favorite host, I'm the cancer cell.

I am grief and sadness rolled into one.
I will take many with me before this day is done.

Don't listen to the ramblings of some avian flu.
I am the true pandemic that is already upon you.

Just peer into these places that claim to fight me.
Without me, these institutions would cease to be.

Look closely at what you observe inside them.
Countless with my affliction that you cannot stem.

The young and old trudge past pictures of scant survivors in the halls.
Without me these immaculate structures would definetly fall.

Maybe one day there might be hope for mankind still.
Perhaps when the profits are down to nil.

hmmm... I'm kindda in iffy stage on your poem. I don't know if I like it or just plain out hate it. Yeah I'm not sure yet I'll get back to you on that. But I thought you have good wording though. I hope to see more from you even though I haven't gave my opinion on this one.
