Alone and frightened in a world of doubt Too painful to stay yet, too hard to get out Bound by choices made wild in youth Forced to live lies instead of the truth Sometimes it seems there's just no way To end this deception I live day to day To break free of this life to follow my heart Would mean other hearts broken and lives torn apart And the guilt I would carry would cut like a knife Til I gave up my dream and maybe, my life... |

At this present time in my life.....this description of life is very real to me. "To break free of this life to follow my heart Would mean other hearts broken and lives torn apart And the guilt I would carry would cut like a knife Til I gave up my dream and maybe, my life..." Great write...!! |

Forced to live lies instead of the truth Sometimes it seems there's just no way To end this deception I live day to day The torment/pain of not being true to yourself lasts much longer than Love lost (in my experience). True poem, great write :) -No Stranger To The Rain- |
