In the deepest darkest of night when all thats good and just take flight A large solemn shadow shall loom promising naught but pain and doom A good and honest man was he until the truth in mens heart he did see So abandoned he the dreams of youth abandoned love and hope and truth And so alone on a winters night take pity on this souls plight He will tell you things cruel and wise and into his looming darkness you will rise So we of the dark with faces by trial drawn stark Rise up against the light leave not your soul in this plight Take those who preach and judge and cast them into lifes sludge let them look into our hearts and see real pain Let them see the power of our dark flame For those our words are sad and dark their beauty is comparable to the singing of a lark So write of broken hearts, and shattered dreams let the words echo with silent screams AS at last the light does shine and washes away that pour souls grime remember that in his darkness and despair he alone seemed to care. So with the rising dawn we shrink For from lifes sweet well we cannot drink For to the darkness this soul does fly at this souls flight i beg you, do not cry hells gate reads Abandon hope all ye that enter here |

Hey Digital_hell, Once again I enjoyed reading your poem. You always have such a way with words and an interesting subject. I love the darkness of your poems, always kind of twisted, yet sad and... dark? lol "let them look into our hearts and see real pain Let them see the power of our dark flame For those our words are sad and dark their beauty is comparable to the singing of a lark So write of broken hearts, and shattered dreams let the words echo with silent screams" Me fav part^^ Powerful imagery here, yet not the kind of pictues but... the imagery of emotions? I'm not sure if you understand that or what im trying to say, but great write on this one! I loved reading it and i can't wait to read more @-->--- |

Yes very good and "apocalyptic". Sometimes we have to devastate some inner parts of ourselves in order to plant new "better" seeds that will grow more positive |

I um, WOW, I'm not sure I can find the words to do this justice. I was captivated from begining to end. I love the way you spoke in a kinda oldfashioned dialogue. It made it even more unique and powerful. "A good and honest man was he until the truth in mens hearts he did see So abandoned he the dreams of youth abandoned love and hope and truth" You're a very talented writer. I'll be looking for more.
