That Place -Everybody Needs That Place- Somewhere where they can go to escape the frustrations of day to day living. Somewhere where they can draw on their strenghts and extingish their weaknesses. Everybody needs to hear something good about themselves in order to deliver them to that place. Everybody needs that special someone, who with just a simple smile, can take them to that place. Everybody needs that place... Because there, you're not too fat, old, young, pointless, weird, alone. There you're you. There your opinions matter and your faults don't. The outside world has no business in that place, as it is your space. -Everybody Needs That Place- - For me, that place is writing. When I write I brighten the darkness just enough to see my way through. Where is your place? |

i can definitely relate to this! tis quite true. my special place is writing also, but its also with my brutha (thts how he spells it). ~~Poetry is written emotion~~ |

This is so true and I know that everyone here must have “that place” where they go to just be themselves… I thought that this was an amazing write, one of my favorites by you because I can relate well to this. It’s something, I believe, everyone is able to understand and relate too. As for the illustrations you used in this poem? I loved them they were perfect for this… Although, for me personally, writing is just “one” of those places I go… Thanks for sharing this one, I hope to see more of your poems in the near future  @-->--- |

I liked this poem, i totally agree we all need to be able to just be ourselves sometimes just to survive. Writing is one of these places for me, as its mine and i can say and do what I want. Internalexile Let the moonlight paint your face, let the stars be your cloak... |

Very true. Everybody needs someplace/one to now their safe in. ''Because there, you're not too fat, old, young, pointless, weird, alone. '' That is a very important point to mention. Those pressures should not be a problem in the place you speak of, for anyone. Um for me.. ''That place'' is probably with someone I haven't met yet lol. Writing is more like part of my survival kit  Brilliant piece. |
