*this poem was written on wednesday night from pure anger. it sounds a little rough to me, so plz let me kno what you think ^_^* Stars in the Darkness I gaze into the black abyss stretched above me Willing my thoughts to be absorbed into it Wanting my mind as clear as the sky Lying atop this hill, I am consumed by the pressing darkness Without any lights to guide me and give me hope of escape Just as I will soon be I’d hate to be lost to my own mind But I can already feel myself being eased into its embrace Potent and calm, it waits Eagerly patient to consume me forever Though I lay peacefully in the shroud of darkness that is night A mental war is fought in vain Between me and the gaping hole of my conscience No matter what actions I take, it’s constantly gaining ground It seems my defeat is inevitable And with each blow to my defense, I realize it more Now, as the darkness presses onward I am left with nothing No will, no hope And oh, how I wish to see the stars ~~Poetry is written emotion~~ |

I can feel the anger below this very potent it threatens to overwhelm it but flows quite well anyway anger is a great tool for a poet if you can tap it allows more purity of intent than any other emotion I went to the desert on a horse with no name, it felt good to get out of the rain. |

WOW! This is amazing. Your words made me feel as though I were laying on that hilltop with you. And I, too, was searching for the stars. *Angel* |
