she teases between barren kisses dangling designed kindness reckless and shallow like a fly flittering before an old toad his fear of forever spins locked and loaded inside her lead chamber revolving roulette split-second courage perceives no bravado from knee-jerk reaction exposing the pain prom nights in back seats magic to wreckage red passions receding on hairlines and gums breaking toward the bone helpdesk doesn’t answer to notes never written words drained on the pages of bullhorn confessions silenced and shattered in eardrums and hearts fly his flag proudly above noisy graveyards where stone speaks its names loudly for even a quiet killing shouts grief "Who knows if to live is to be dead, and to be dead, to live? And we really, it may be, are dead; in fact I once heard sages say that we are now dead, and the body is our tomb." Socrates [This message has been edited by coyote (11-09-2003 11:54 PM).] |
