It was a New Year welcome with a shattered champagne bottle,
No glass to hold our resolutions.
Hey look, this is us, again and again.
This is our future.

Then, this patch of grass on which we sit,
Above the rocks and shells and sand and people
She just made a joke and we all laughed,
Took a picture, wrote a song,
This is our life.

Can you feel that?
That little piece of God we never believed in.

And so then the trees fell down,
All around us. Or so it seemed.

Tomorrow a bell rings, and
Torn from our conversations about last night’s TV…
The lessons which will ‘shape our future’
Are spent at the back of the class with best friends inventing
New styles of paper planes,
Sending texts almost ironic like “mt u @ da libry”
And drawing on our stockings.
In vivid.

Our school books trail behind us,
Tangled in Mum’s lunch
We know one thing is certain
“I’m going to fail math this year.”

Children of the future.
Scratch that,
We won’t be children then.

This is us.
This is now.
This is us now.

So let us be alone, at least,
Until our Armageddon.

Come on God, do I seem bulletproof?

I love it. Until our Armageddon... almost look like abreviated USA. Yes! That rocks.

this just sums up everything ay. its the perfect descritpion of this year. last year. summer. beginnings. etc

missed you today. even tho it was lik,e an hour and a half. i missed you. gah how am i gunna do it!!!!!!!!!!! after three years!!!!!!! although me and hilton are going strong on our fifth year
