Her hands flutter, flutter, incandescent in headlight flame -- fingers sprouting shadows which lengthen, lengthen, then vanish. Can you see the shadows I make, her body asks. But her eyes have changed to the color of feldspar and jasper -- bits of mica sprinkling music. Such slow flashing, I'd like to respond, but my mouth is fast shut. Words do not become wings, and wings do not fly independent of body is what I'd like to say. Sometime past starlight, before the first rays of morning, we find our respective beds. Cold and corrugated shudder and shakes, an urgency I will not take pains to decode. Not this night is what I'd like to say. |

Into the post modern scene are we, Mike? If not this is still a superb metaphoric relationship write. Very well done as always. Thanks, coyote 8) |

just when they thought he walked into oblivion... holy... where have you been ol' friend?? and to make a comeback with something like this after all these years of separation? wow, i just finished playing a role of a very popular rock star in this flick, and i had to go way back to get into the role... way back, to the days of old. and you were there! yes!! years ago, you were there... chastising me for quotes of "toe cheese" and such when silence was tasteful!!! lol anyhoo, i missed ya bro! mike of all the things we try to find... it's only love we keep. |
