inside the shadows

She pictures hands around her throat
Gasping for her very breath
Clutching out the life
She sees visions of her death
Blurriness clouds her eyes
Preventing her from sight
Dizziness taking over
She only faintly sees the light
How could she have let life
Torture her for this long
All the while her broken heart
Was just trying to belong
