I had lost my sight And failed to see A possibility of love That was meant for me Tried as I did Throughout all the years My efforts were stifled Drowned in tears Yet still I pushed on Just hoping to find A soulful connection That starts with the mind Time and again I went to the shore To ask my one question Whom will I adore The answer elusive I tell you this true Leaving me wondering What next I should do Feeling despondent And filled with despair I gave up my search Thinking no one would care That is until one day I got on the net And stumbled on a vision A lovely poet My heart suddenly opened As my eyes can now see An image of beauty Bestowed upon me Where will this now lead There’s no way to know But if my inkling’s correct To her side I will go I had lost my sight And failed to see Until I had met My sweet D’Marie G.
