We said we would never lie to each other Then again we said that we would always be together Now here you are keeping secrets Hiding away like a scared rabbit Keeping yourself shut off from the ones that love you We held true to only one thing The idea of love and magic Sharing feelings and holding each other close Now here you are keeping secrets While everyone around you knows the truth Passing judgement on you And you let them Just so you won't have to show the real you We tried to be civil in public As the whispers came around us We were both drowning in your sorrow While you held on to your secrets To each other we were lies My secrets were apart of our lives And your secrets were all yours There were days when I thought that you hated me Yet now I know better You were just keeping secrets To keep them from hurting you Love, Ladycat Insanity in individuals is something rare but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.-Friedrich Nietzsche [This message has been edited by Ladycat (02-20-2005 03:46 PM).] |
