sublime memories of you
sleep in butterfly wings
as I remain cocooned
in thoughts of your repose

maybe I am the loser
while you flew free
maybe not

I still hold memories of you
your smiles
your jokes
your laughter
that filled the empty spaces
of my world

while you --
I don’t know
what you hold

though I hope
against hope that
you give a passing glance to
a singular thought about me
and what had been

just once
in a small while

maybe I am the loser

this is really beautiful.... and a looser definitly could not write something like this... this brings back the sweet memories of my ex.... thankyou because i have only been remembering the bad things recently...

I would agree that the loss is not yours, as you seem to have used (and thus learned from) the experience. All experience in life can be placed into words, and used to effect change.

It would seem you have done so....great job.
