Damn we try so hard, don't we? Picture perfect idea of what is supposed to be, We console ourselves. Maybe tomorrow, things will get better; Maybe tomorrow everything will be alright. But tomorrow never comes, does it? We only have this very moment as a guarantee. But we screw it up...this moment, don't we? When we could truly see everything So wonderful all around us... So wonderful all for us... We'd rather bathe ourselves in one small sorrow. The knowledge of the evening taught me About the frailty and the fallacy of cliches. "Be that as it may" was not meant to be A fortress for our misery. In actuality, it is such a ray of hope, isn't it? "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm" |

Yeah, actually it is. It feels like this one just reached inside my head and pulled something around into a better focus or something. Pretty cool, thanks. lol. -GIS Corruption is caused by holes in obedience to God. |

Hey. (speechless) So. Right, focus on the task at hand. Which is this reply. We'd rather bathe ourselves in one small sorrow. Favourite line. This was so beautiful, and so..true, and I say yes to every question. The ending was so good. Hollow. Courtney. And the legacy runs from needles to guns |

Thank you......this was an excellent piece of work. These lines: The knowledge of the evening taught me About the frailty and the fallacy of cliches. "Be that as it may" was not meant to be A fortress for our misery. Are obviously created by an adept mind. |

"We only have this very moment as a guarantee. But we screw it up...this moment, don't we?" and this line "We'd rather bathe ourselves in one small sorrow." --------------------------------------------- Those are my favorite and they are wonderful. I have to say that I like this piece so much that I'm going to save it. Really flows! Thank you for the great read. "Be That As It May" I've never thought on these lines like tonight... I just finished reading this book, "An Arrow Pointing To Heaven" and the person whom the book is about would have loved this poem from the stance that the line is a beautiful thing. It only took me 36 years to get this! Yet I falter, for like Lady...I too like the "bathe ourselves in one small sorrow" line for it knows me better than I claim to know it. Great poem. Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |
