the color in my eyes, green, veronica. a name for everything. a whisper filtered through the grass. It's there, the calling, is beating underneath my raw skin. bruised with your name, veronica. the name of death, death is no human figure. if it were it have been mudered long before. But she lurks unto me now, veronica. [This message has been edited by Lexy (10-22-2003 07:57 PM).] |

Hi lexy! I am wondering if you mean "Veronica?" I'm curious because I have dabbled in herbalism (among other things) and used to grow this one and used it quite frequently in my *ahem* meanderings. It's also called "speedwell" and is a member of the thyme family. smile. Your poem brought to mind some witchy ways. Here's a link for you--I think if you'll investigate the properties of this herb more specifically tho, you might find some interesting imagery that you might find inspiring. http://www.dark-witchcraft.com/ladywildeherbs.htm and yep, there's a lot more info out there. But the witch has to fire up the cauldron over here. (suppertime) Hugs and love. Thank you. Enjoyed. |

actually has nothing to do with what you mentioned. I like the name veronica, and in this poem it symbolizes death. |

sorry if I misunderstood-- I caught the reference to death, but the previous mention of "green" veronica confused me, as "green" symbolizes healing in my mindset. and yes, I DO digress at times. I apologize if it seemed like I hadn't read anything other than the title. |
