Tonight let's pretend to be lovers,
and make believe under the covers
that we really do love each other,
and we can pretend that we enjoy it.

Tonight we can give our pretend eyes
and make believe everything's fine.
Have fun together one last time,
and we can pretend that we enjoy it.

Tonight we can give our pretend smiles
and make believe our love runs wild.
With the honesty of a child,
we can pretend that we enjoy it.

Tonight we pretend this is how it will be,
and make believe this is eternity.
Tomorrow we'll wake up with you next to me,
and we can pretend that we enjoy it..........

.....but its all pretend.

Hey.

I used to know these words well.

Alas, though, there comes a time when "pretend" just won't do. Once you've discovered the existance of diamond, glass just doesn't look the same anymore...

Ahhh yes, the delightful world of pretend...but unfortunately we must awaken from every dream. It's always tempting to lose yourself in someone who's maybe lost themselves, but eventually you want reality.
