He can feel the bubbles rising up his throat The sickly stench of guilt and pain Filters his soul, no noise Drifting, he pauses and takes a step towards the fire Can’t you see him tire, and lay his aching body? On the ground He can see clearly now Eyelids hesitate before they breathe a last and shallow glance At all the world He’s seen the rain come The plans they made, they didn’t go so well And now he’s someplace where nobody knows his name A polluted river swirls at his feet It’s good bye again. Note: Stuck in a rut, getting those creative juices flowing. Do not like this much, got no idea what it's about but maybe it will return the ideas. I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World. |

I liked it very much. Sounds like a bad "nowhere" to be... Actually a relatable write, indeed. "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm" |
