Maybe my sight is short and blind Maybe I'm obsessive And maybe there is a large weight tied to my heart With thick chains The abrasive prayer seems to be the one Most promised A deluxe toy dangling over my head Just out of reach I'll grab it Jump Let the hand lower And when it did my toy was inside a steel cage And the lock didn't even need a key More of a jigsaw puzzle And if I sit and stare long enough... Check for loose bars Small notes out of place Maybe something was fashioned wrong A trapdoor? He gave me the keys And there isn't a lock And if I sit and stare long enough... The cables still attatched to my cage snap And fall And land in a way so they coil around The cage and me in no certain order But there was enough cable to fasten me to the cage Still holding the keys I don't even know how to use these keys Squares and circles and a triangle And since I'll be here long enough I might as well sit down Doing the same thing a million times in a row will definitely affect your head. ha i too saw you sitting there in some primitive tribal cage with fire burning underneath you.. oh dear i really do need to stop imagining all these kinds of things.. the poem was really cool, i liked how you did the whole sitting down thing throughout the poem and then finished with that line also. unexpected! great stuff dude LOR you're the only one keeping me alive |

What took you guys so long??? I've been sitting here forever waiting patiently for you to come join me in my cross-legged perching...lol "How doeth I love thy scribblings? Let me count the ways"... Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere |
