Lying still in the night, wishing what I sometimes will. Waiting for what? Hoping for... Seeing what I wouldn't. Wondering what might have been. Wishing that you hadn't. Knowing what I had to do, screaming that I couldn't. Make it go away. All the impurity, the grease and grime, the unclean. Burned into my skin, seeped into my blood stream. Because of you. Feeling in the soul you ruined, it would never go away. It had tainted me. I couldn't get rid of it. Unless. I let it all spill out, in a rush, all at once. And I will start all over. |
