I sit in a white padded room And I fly away In my head there plays a little tune That brings a brand new day I feel the bugs crawling Crawling in my skin The bugs sing their song For they are my next of kin I lay in the white hot sand Of a quaint little beach Ropes bind my hands Chains bind my feet I lay on the beach so lifeless I can move no more I am rooted by insanity so heartless I smell the rising of the shore I am drowning in mentality Insane bubbles come from my mouth Morbid fish surround me I try, TRY with all my might to shout. I diminish and sink into the south. -Brigid WillowKeeper |

Excellent! I love poems like this, and your presentation is awesome. I like the ending... "I am drowning in mentality Insane bubbles come from my mouth Morbid fish surround me I try, TRY with all my might to shout. I diminish and sink into the south." The last line is a killer; wraps it up with a sense of utter finality. It is better to leave a vessel unfilled, than to attempt to carry it when it is full. - Tao Te Ching |

It is a poem for the speech, Maureen. The speech is going great! I wrote two poems for it, one from the insane sister's eyes. (I am putting this one at the beginning because at the end the sister gets better, this is her peak.) I also wrote one from the little sister's eyes about hope. (It will go towards the end.) I am guarenteed a great place in tournaments with this...not to brag or anything. And you will weep |
