Ignorant on the insides of a circle And crammed in the corner of a square On a sheet of paper more of a dark gray With big bold black lines set as boundries The way out is somewhere in the black space Stretched out over and out of the chasm in my mind Gridlocked and searching for relief My choices leave me with sand in my bread Open my eyes and now I've grown scales My legs are longer with a layer of algae My square becomes a cubical of wallless standing water And I can swim up and down, but still can't get out It seems like the water has frozen now After a quick stir for murky mud and blurry sight I gather a crowd to come and watch me try to get out They point and stare and some lose interest and leave If I could only get some tools If I could only get my hands free to handle those tools Suppose the ice were to melt Could I walk away and be free Held firm I wait and pray Something explode, perhaps a swinging wrecking ball Set me free or let me get free When will the cubic solid prison release its hold? He has made everything beautiful in its own time. -Ecclesiastes 3:11 |

"My choices leave me with sand in my bread" Ah, Green! ~ You're getting stronger. Loved it infinitely. "So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm" |
