Once again,
it feels like time
to saddle up the ol mule,
get outta Dodge or whatever the hell
this place is labeled on the maps,
before the dust settles
any deeper on my attitude.

I never seem to be able to sink
deep enough roots to thrive,
to comfortably call a place HOME.

Gypsy natured gals like me
fight fiercely to remain free,
yet often have a secret buried dream
of sinking knee deep into the soil
in a silent roaring scream
wanting to hold onto some kind of Gibralter
that never finds its way within reach.

And everytime I pack to pick up and go,
shake off my shoes and overcoat,
I leave a bit of myself behind,
mixed within the scattered dust pile
of what was.

LOL, Chris, I never really know until I go. I know that sounds pathethic, but it's the truth, and the truth is the only bit of baggage I refuse to leave behind. Guess I'll decide after the holidays.
Yes, it is true. I am not intending to remain in Colorado much longer. There is great beauty here, and I haven't even seen the most of it yet. but circumstances are changing, and I miss the Pacific Ocean so much I cannot stand it some days. The smell of salt air in my nostrils, the sound of seagulls...
Ahhhhh. Thanks for spending a moment with me in the dust. I miss the ocean too much to stay here any longer.
Yep, I'll leave some space in the back seat for ya m'friend.LOL, we could share the driving time

Ive found that moving around, brings a totally unique fondness towards the emotion towards the earth. In 17 years, Ive lived in about 12 different places, and I can honestly say that Ive become more and more in touch with the beauty of the earth (especially the cross country road trips). I liked this piece alot!

LOL, I love that pen name, and thank you much for that reply! It's nice to know I'm not alone on this road to anywhere and nowhere. LOL, but some days, I have to look in the mirror to see if it is the same face that stared back at me yesterday.

NOPE! It's changing again!

DANGIT, Stephen King, get outta my mirror!

Hey, it is a small planet, might as well make the most of it.  In the end we are all vagabonds.  Happy trails!

icebox, ues, it is a very tiny planet and yet I've only wandered around a bite size piece of it. LOL, hopefully, I'll still walk on more distant shores.

Lauren, being 'grounded' must have some advantages, but my feet just seem to need constant movement. Thanks for runnin with me for a while

Hey, you still here?
Well, virtually, anyway.
Good luck on your return to the sea.

LOL, yes, for now, though I haven't much computer time available lately.
Well, I've decided it's back to the sea for me. I hope to end up on the Olympic peninsula (Washington) by next summer.
thanks Kraw, for the visit!

Midnitesun,

(smiles) I know how you are homesick for the ocean, sweet friend, I'm moving to Portland in May 2005 as I want to love near the ocean and there it's only 45 minutes from it! (kiss on cheek) Yay, I hope you enjoyed the Colorado experience nevertheless, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
