Lady In Green Velvet Winter is coming early this year. Leaves have already blown into the wind, heading for warmth and rolling seas. In the distance sits a small ivy covered cottage. A pathway covered with cobblestones, lined with the silvery flowers of winter, leads to this quiet cottage. On a small veranda a window opens into a room with flickering light. A fireplace crackling with warmth, with warm silhouettes dancing across darkened walls, casting shadows upon pictures of summer scenes and frames of golden design. Sitting by the fire with quill in hand sits a lady, a lady in flowing green velvet, with velvet ribbons in hair the color of rich auburn. She sits and stares as if in deep thought, as the warmth touches her swollen cheeks, she sighs a sigh of loneliness. Tears dampen the parchment within her hands, for she does not know the words that will heal the painful words of yesterday. The only words written, in shaky hand, on this delicate parchment. Are the words from deep within her loving heart. These words reaching across embittered miles saying, āIām sorry............... Please forgive.ā Love Bon-Bon |

Bon-Bon, I enjoyed this too. You have a way with your writings of making me want to read more of the story. I'm glad that you have some more parts to this one. Hugs Ethel |
