Every now and then, I think of All the loved ones that have past. And I wonder what they're doing Since the time I saw them last. One night as I was dreaming In the middle of the night, I thought someone was calling So I tiptoed to the light. As I gazed outside my window And viewed the diamond studded sky, Emotions overcame me When the visions rolled on by. Friends and family all were gathered. There was a party going on. They were having such a good time. It was as if they had never gone. It brought to me a comfort Just knowing they were alright. A gift of closure I received From this illusion of the night. Ah, 'tis as Shakespeare said, "Parting is such sweet sorrow" ...the melancholy mirth of missing those we love |

I like this very much, Eloise. With all of the recent passings of people we've grown up with, this is a very poignant, timely, poem. |
