The Window The life I once knew froze yesterday morning. My daily routine had hinted no warning. The world had transformed with a grave undertone. My bedroom door closed, and I was alone. The first thing I saw when assessing the room Was the menacing window, inviting the gloom. The window expanded to towering heights And reared its dark head, vomiting horrid sights. The frame strained under the possessing force; The Evil outside was taking its course. As much as I tried, I could not look away, The floors shook, and the walls started to sway In a surge of energy, I leapt towards the mass, And I slammed the thing shut, cracking the glass. But the Evil is tricky and wise in Its craft, For the window’s now closed, but I still feel a draft. |

Quite a good write. Happy to read you, and welcome to Passions. Understood on a deep level the menacing of outside the glass...yet, How wonderful to walk in the world, knowing the impenetrable shield of love...for ourselves and others. ThisDiamond |
