Dandelion Wishes

Standing here, waiting, watching the road
until I don’t see colors anymore
and it is before again, or maybe after
or maybe it doesn’t matter.
All the colors are scattered there behind,
out in the meadow where two lovers search
for flowers among the fallen leaves
and find each other,
where the sweetest gift may still be given
though ungiven, received though unreceived,
and maybe it doesn’t matter
anywhere but here.
See their bright steps play along the leafpath,
coming or maybe going, looking for fallen moments
among the leaves and flowers,
casting their dandelion wishes
just for moments, always moments,
even the tiny pause, almost imagined,
just there between the parting and departing,
then down this road they seem to dissolve,
still carrying their frail as feather wishes
off into the colorless of time alone,
of waiting, watching the road
while bare leaves tumble down amid the flowers.

Salutations!

If you take a "buttercup" flower and put it on your window sill in a tiny recepticle with a bit of water...after drying that way for about 1-2 weeks, it turns into the most beautiful "make a wish" flower!  The dandelion will magically appear.

This poem made me remember that small miracle my boys discovered.

Enjoyed!

this was lovely, fragrant, warm....

so many vivid images here, what a lovely canvas you painted....

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes art

Indeed, James...
I missed this on the first go around...
I think I had set sail, or something...
