fiery mix of words and passion
slowly burns down our throats
warming our stomachs
giving us hope to get through
another day
a quick fix
disguised stupor
that hides truth
behind the lie of happiness
the perfect cocktail
to drown our sorrows
in the abyss
of eternal optimism
instead of facing a bleak reality
we know as life.

Hiya Brad, and good morning.

A very good write, I liked

but I opt to hold onto optimisum and faith regardless, to me, for me, that is my reality.  It feels much better to be happy, you know?  For every bad thing that happens, I can find at least one good thing which derives from it?  Well, works for me anyways? Love and hugs.  Lee J.
