Black onyx, redeeming yourself, ten thousand eyes; Year after year in darkness, and unuttered despair Where is love, if not like a spirit founded Like a spring, in an arid and barren dessert Which neither vanish, nor pass away; Commanding itself, like fortresses, or flippant as waving sleeves; Or guests seated without contempt, at a table; Hunger sufficed, without Oxen laid bare I ask you of this, putting down my oar; The stream, under the far of sky; The shadows soothing, lifting a tear, under sheltered laughing moon; Let none dispute love made in heaven, firing alters as Seasons end; Of Gods and heroes, lies swallowed up; The smile among the flowers The virginal Iris, forming purely consistent, as infernal and heavenly faces; Of the same divine power, idealizing, as mankind's fragrant hands prepare; Diverting themselves hardy; Foolishly composed, heavily separated, of unequal reeds ! With sentence lesser, overruled by Heavens ....Where is the love? Titch Edited by titch on Nov. 13 2003,09:40 |

I'm agreeing with the angel... your writing is amazingly expressive, and the metaphor is very well played out. |
