perfection
in the loam
she grew
finding strength
in solitude
as above
she grew below
the sun was just
a dark shadow
of negatives reversed
she knew
that light was dark
and dark was home.

simple budding
petals cleave
a bullet
made of purity
mighty like the rose
on grave--I cut her
hoping
I am saved
as I render sacrifice
I honored one
and ended life
knowing she would give array--
as petals fall by ones away-
comforting the thorn.

say to me that I am saved
tell me I have purity
watching a full rose in bloom
dropping velvet one by one
wilting in the crush of bruise
fingering the need of muse
lust the waft of loving death--
touching...irresistible.

Karen...this one called to me from this sea of blue.  And I know why.  You see, I have been working on something in my mind, and well, I think it will flow onto the paper now.

Thanks for the lovely read and the inspiration to pick up my pen.

(smiles) And you always bring comfort to both values as your words truly heal, feel, and act as both doctor and philanthropist to every poets heart! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Totally awesome poem.  Don't know how I missed this earlier.  If I had to comment on each line that I liked, I would have to repost the entire work!

can a very tardy moth get in on this?
what you do with haunting images and assonance leaves me moth giddy...
classic Sen poetry..each one a turn of page,
as your poetic vision reaches to keep up with your gifted pen.
this is a keeper me twin.

When I'm with you my eyes are so wide ...
you reached right in my head and turned on the light inside
turned on the light in my mind.

A very wonderful read for me.  I've been struggling with my faith for some time now.  I've been a pagan for many years but have had a hard time practicing as of late.  Your words spoke to me and filled my heart with a feeling I can't rightly describe.  Thank you so very much.

~ I know this is to be metaphorical, yet I couldn't help thinking about my own rose bushes. This last stanza was my favorite part. Enjoyed!
