Not a Sucker to Be Licked She may appear sweet with swirling stripes, A beauty in devouring eyes Because that’s what she is without disguise but she’ll no longer be one licked sucker. As her fences torn down From curiosity past, She made commitment of friendship to last, Despite human consequence, ‘til finally raised question, asked. She had been no more than a toy on a string, Or a funny laugh, not a passion did she bring to him,one without emotion. NO, perhaps that’s wrong, Perhaps emotion was pleasure To see her weak-kneed, humbling. If it was “getting even” that was meant to be, So be it. This one’s too sweeeet anyway, a diamond; Not a sucker to be licked. |

muted, thanks. You're a sweetie. Actually, this was just practice to see if I could produce an emotion.(i seem to have difficulty with it most times when i write, etc.) It's hard to get me fired up-sometimes i just have to pretend... Sadelite |
