I knew the dust had'nt settled

thumb up waitin' for a ride
with the heat playin’ tricks
on my eyes

It's been a long time coming.

the horizon's growing longer
like the vacant highway
and it's untravelled miles.

These heels have walked
deserts more vast,
just wish I had my boots on
cause the traffic aint travellin'
my way.

And if I had a map
maybe I'd make a sign
saying "tumbleweeds for sale".

..Everybody's got room for baggage

Gonna be alright though
cause the borderline just lay ahead

justpull-up a dress hem
and let the 18 wheels take me in...

Baby let them rattlesnakes be
up under their skins...
I think its time

I shed me free.

now you see.. this made me think of Iambe... so for that I curse you..

but for the poem and the overall way it sings its tale..and for what it leaves on feeling.. kudos....
