There once was a time, a sad lonely time, when music no longer was heard in a soul where the core of all lay flat vacuum sealed in life’s plastic bag on shelves thin veneered. An earthquake, tornado, volcanic eruption, and from the light dark spread over the earth single-minded like ants marching in line with a mission to feed on all of mankind. It ate of the flesh and picked at the bones nought for the vultures was left on the ground and the life and times of women and men adapted to roles never known until then. Days and nights grew in numbers untold and a world without song greeted the young till slowly began the movement of soul and awareness rose up in those grown to old. Soft at first, rising, gathering strength, we can hear, if we wish, the music again and if we say, “stop” to the turmoil inside we’ll all learn the tune and sing the lines. But something so easy can be very hard like from the light finding your way in the dark! Helen |
