Broken pieces tucked away
entwined fibers and textures
and dried leaves
woven into the dark.

There are no shadows on demand
or right angles at dusk
unforeseen through the trees
there is only the quiet sound
of heart beats, nesting nightly.

Until the moon sparks the earth
and lights the fire in my eyes
then I shall fly willingly
feeding from the palm of your hands.

Taking refuge in silent tributaries
as the snow melts
running off down a stream
and overflows into pools
where the birds bathe in Spring~

Bluesy....you have done it again...
left me speechless.  Love this

Beautiful...took the bite out of winter
with this wonderful piece Bluesy!
~Warm hugs~

    In the midst of winter..
I found there lives within me,
    an invincible summer.

nicely done...

I am more than ready for the spring thaw... and for days warmed by something other than the weak eyed sun of January
