state of dis union or how many pizzas does health care cost |

How many pizzas does health care cost? How many lives have to be lost before we all ante up and pick up the tab for the elderly and infirm, the aging soldier on the street that you'll find in bare feet after they've given all they can give and we've stepped over them and around them because they are dirty or talking to themselves. As I dust my cupboard shelves I see things that will hit the trash can I shouldn't have bought, things that cost more than the price of a hot meal and a warm bed, not to mention the smile that is free. How can this be that we cannot see such a simple solution? I'm giving my pizza money this week to a local food bank, or a health care group that provides services to the indigent. Oh, by the way, did I tell you I've worked forty years mostly fulltime but have no medical coverage though I work over fifty hours a week? Mr President, did you address any of these issues seriously in your state of dis union address? Poverty and disease are the terrorists I'm mostly concerned with each and every day. Thank you for your time. |

This is outstanding. It is so true. It is not just the president not addressing these issues. I read signs everyday help in the arms of men who are ashamed to look at me in my face, and sometimes I am ashamed to look at them, and that is something we have control of on this level. Thank you for pointing this out. |

Few put their money where their rhetoric flies. But you and Jiminy share a heart of gold and the convictions to back it up. |

To bad theres no votes to be got by endorsing national healthcare or we'd see things changing in a hurry.Even Clinton dropped the issue in a hotflash when polls showed to many of America's Insured well to do don't support the idea.Suppose I'll just have to purchase $400 a month blue whatever policies with the money from one of thoses new no benni service jobs old GW's created like washing dishes for or wiping the butts of Americas rich for $7.00 dollars an hour.Be nice if we could get our unisured sick shipped off to those new Iraqie hospitals being built by that goverment deducted third of the salery the working poor can't live on now.I liked this...kudos for seeing beyond the bush propaganda. Live like it's your last day... |

(big angel hugs) As always, Bush's speeches are dry, dull, and distorted! "No Child Left Behind" my butt, more like "No Child Should Be Left Behind". As always, the students who get lesser grades will keep repeating this stupid system over and over, failing to ever achieve a successful education and life, mopping up the floors and scrubbing the toilets of Yale and setting up the stage for the megalomaniacs of tomorrow! (sad sigh) Health care is a victim of the exact same distortion, I can't believe people clap for such an arrogant man, the economy is mystifying also, yeah, the bull market is on the run but it doesn't mean a thing to giving back hard-working Americans jobs, as Bush has taken 2 million jobs since he took office and compared to Clinton, who was able to give Americans about 23,600 jobs every month, Bush has taken 6,600 every month on average, and his exact words saying, "America does not need a permission slip" in taking action, uggghhhh...it irritates me! God Bless You for speaking out, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |

Right on Sister Kacy, I hear you loud and clear, and understand everything you say...Great poetic statement...:-) The thanks goes to you for taking your time to speak your mind ....enjoyed this very much....sometimes I feel alone with thoughts such as you have displayed here......Now I know I am in good company and feel safer for some reason......perhaps it is passion for truth that brings us together...something this president knows nothing of... he lives in a world of delusions, far out of touch with the "normal" person in this country....but I must abate, I don't want to turn this into a big political statement and in any way take away from the heartfelt beauty of your poem. * Noah I believe you have it wrong, it is not "No child left behind" The program should be called "No child left untested" look closely at the language of that program, you will see why I call it that....it is a sham! "Carry it on" Kacy....thank you for the poem ________ice ><> |

Ford, I think you missed the two words I put in-between, "No Child SHOULD BE Left Behind" but obviously, and sadly, that's not the case! I was spoofing the title of the "plan", which there is no plan, and obviously many children will be left behind who have learning differences or difficulties. If anything, he is leaving more children behind than ever! Love your reply, dearest friend! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you |

Kacy, I'm not familiar with the health care system of your country but reading this As I dust my cupboard shelves I see things that will hit the trash can I shouldn't have bought, things that cost more than the price of a hot meal and a warm bed, reminds me of the constant battle i'm fighting myself--maintaining a (delicate) balance between the desire not to be consumed by materialism (because many folks don't even have bare necessarities) and the desire to earn big bucks and spend spend spend (some things in life, like travelling, do cost a lot and i wanna indulge in them) does my sentiments make sense? LOL... |

Yeah but by damn, we're gonna do something about those steroids (forget about Bin Laden and the might be, maybe , possibly, could have been probable "dozens of weapons of mass destruction-related program activities" ) "We have no desire to dominate, no ambitions of empire." Maybe I'll come out of my stupor, calm down enough to get a bit political (as I did before this Iraq mistake) Enjoyed...just wanted you to know. |

thank you my friends! I am overjoyed to have such feedback and it came to my mind this afternoon to revise/reaffirm this famous King quote: We shall overcome. |
