The fine silk cloth,
Once bright and rich
Now torn and lying in rags
Proceeds across
The table top
Like a parched hawk
Flying slowly across the desert
War weary
And desperate for food,
He wavers in mid flight
And sails gracefully as is possible
In an everlasting arc
That twists towards the limitations
Of the earthly body
Divinely uttering the crys of the dead
One last swoop,
Leaves him tasting
The sweet honey of satisfaction
But knowing his time draws to
Passes with no further pain,
As the cloth falls from the table.

I wrote this while I was having some wierd imagery with the whole eagle thing, arcing into different worlds and such. It was quite interesting.

Iron Wolf, Welcome to Passions!  I hope you struggle once again to bring forth such a write.  I have been anticipating your first post.  I was not disappointed.
