About Roses

The roses in my path of view
Grew from out a tender brew
Were subject to a fertile vein
Of rain and peace and no cocaine

Each person weighs a different scale
Each person sails a different sail
And what we seek is common but
Each kernel is a separate nut

The common is we live and die
And pardon is no part of lie
But from our life grows empathy
That breaks on shore as sympathy

But sympathy is subject to
The roses in your path of view
And thought the colors vary wide
They all are drawn by ebb of tide.

There is a compass partly true
Do to others what you’d they do.

Good morning Sy ... I have not been here in awhile and have missed your poetry so much. This is a delight and may you always have fragrant roses along your path.

Hugs to you, Marti

I take no credit for my poems. Although I write them, I feel
more like I transcribe them. It's just a matter of listening.
