Within Me

Within me is a phantoms place
A piece of space wrapped up in lace
A jewel within times legacy
That turns the wheels of fantasy

It is an alter egos cog
That keeps a timeless spirits log
It weaves each day a string of haze
That keeps my egos hearth ablaze

A mist of finest filament
Taken from life’s element
Knotted in a weave of cloth
That holds a fantasy of broth

And from that negative of sum
We pull the phantom of a plumb
And feed upon its calorie
To pay our mind its salary

Or else we would forever be
Upon a sea of infamy

Seymour~

Each day you offer
from a well-filled poetic coffer
Gems of penning in total delight
and my friend, they're ALWAYS JUST RIGHT~

Wonderfully written and expressed.

There is not ONE day goes by that I don't read you and learn from you.  It absolutely amazes me where you take an ordinary word and I love the trip.   Hi Isabel!

These two lines really did it for me, I liked the overall finish off the poem as well.
