The following verse contains controversial material and is not suited for all readers.  Poetic supervision may be required.

War … uh-huh, I like it? … you don’t
War … uh-huh, I do vote … you won’t

Guns … uh-huh, I have them … you don’t
Guns … uh-huh, I shoot them … you won’t

Peace … uh-huh, I like it … you don’t?
Peace … uh-huh, I fight for it … you won’t

Freedom … uh-huh, I love it … don’t you?
Freedom … uh-huh, I have it … do you?

Well, this one IS quite different, steavenr.

Love and Light...jc

This I know as Truth...we are all Beings of Light.

jaicie, don't worry...I haven't gone off the deep end...and to be truthful, care should be taken before concluding which side of the "fence" I fall on.  I am sure that someone doing a cursory reading may very well wish to curse me...but there are deeper meanings to this one that the reader should seek to mine.

Oh, my dear steavenr...

I would never do anything so brash as to assign you to an "end" or to conclude anything about your "fences" from your poetry!

Love and Light (and, not the least worried!)...jc

This I know as Truth...we are all Beings of Light.

Steavenr -- these certainly are the big issue, you have that right, uh-huh.  I liked the use of rhythm.....it almost felt like a war dance.

It is true that you cannot tell exactly what side of the fence you stand on issue...
What I have learned from long experience is that killing for peace does not work except in very rare instances, even then when you study the reasons for conflict in the first place you find that every war in history could have been prevented by right political choice and diplomacy....history proves this...uh huh
I enjoyed reading this poem uh huh....

well, this is something else! truly, poets ca do what only poets can do-- string together all the words they want and still make sense.

Controversial only in the sense that controversy can be created about whether the sky is blue. Yes, there are a few particular times when it isn't, but is that really grist for an argument? No.
