Though cold-pressed codices of time’s ordeal Deplete my determination to disclose The ever enthralling leaves of verses ideal Disquieting my soul’s ephemeral repose Stealing my life, my thoughts, my candid imaginings I linger, long, and lust for abbreviated gleanings Watching jewels of thoughts and words pass by Gems of verbiage scrolling quickly past the eye Always chasing, never gaining, the bards appear Then go, then flee, I’ll never catch up in here! |

Though I appreciate the lavish compliments and heartfelt encouragements, I feel I must confess that I simply meant that I would never catch up in reading all the wonderful poetry that was written in my short absence from the boards. It can be overwhelming when trying to catch up on all the good writing. Thanks to all who read and commented. |
