From a vast distance,
the dusk sun sinks in darkness.
She calls out, words fading-
She seems so far away,
almost a distant shadow
that casts light on
my heart's surfaces.

What can no longer be spoken,
known in the heart's depths,
where all becomes merged in unity
and where words fail to convey
the heart's true strength.

Some things are never know, yet felt
sharply as winter's bone-chilling wind.
Other things never spoken, yet known
as the burning candle flame flickers,
melting down on a moonless night;
casting reflections of love's dance
stretched across lace curtains,
bare walls, and memories
where petals are strewn
and rose scents waft in the violet air.

The call of the eagle flying overhead
utters what words can never say.
Lovers listen in cliff-edged awe
and return to the silence of the
night breeze.

A mental call edged on a wavelength only a lover can receive.

Deep imagery, nice writing, nice thoughts with a hint of panic.

Look at Choshi...getting all lengthy on us!

Your words set the stage of relaxation and depth in the quiet.  I enjoyed reading your creation.  As does concise statements, this wordy display suits you well!  Thanks for sharing this one.

i dont know, some ways they are blessed without havng to suffer the daily grind of life as they just are........
but life isnt easy for them either i guess,
they must grieve too when one of their own leaves
the earth, dont u think

In their leaving
this meadow where they flock;
the wild geese-
cry plaintively in the dusk
and stain the grass blades with tears.
