This is my 2 post limit. This is a poem I have had since I was 13. I think it's one of my finest also. Life is such that when we get the courage to question what we believe in, we try to seek the tree of knowledge only to find it bears the fruit of sin. It feeds our hunger for temptation with the taste of sweet damnation, and as it quenches the thirst within us... it reveals the seed of truth that deceives us. Life is such a tragic consequence of this insignificant existence. we are imprisoned by our freedom, and enslaved by our own wisdom. With all the love and hate that we create, and all the hearts and minds we manipulate, such is this painful life we must all endure... an addiction that only death can cure. |

Hello, Alliance, It sounds like you were a pretty deep thinker at thirteen. I wonder if your ideas have changed much since then. I really liked the part about being imprisoned by our own freedom and enslaved by our own wisdom. Sadelite P.S. Welcome to Passions...It's nice to have you aboard. |
